Does anyone know if there is a sound driver that works with a CS4281 from Cirrus Logic?
Thanks!

Did you look in BeBits?
http://www.bebits.com
Good luck.

There isn't one specifically for the cs4281. The soundblaster driver on http://bebits.com might work, but I haven't tried that one yet.

I have never heard of doing this on an audio card but there might be a slim chance to create a jumpered ISA device and use it that way? Might also be able to use midi output. Dunno, might look at this. http://www.cirrus.com/pubs/4281.pdf?DocumentID=30

I have tried various drivers from BeBits but none seems to work for my card. When I look at Preferences->Devices I see the sound card listed and enabled. But I guess that doesn't help much if there is no driver...

Also be sure to look in media prefs. What does it say there?
Yes, Devices kind of misleads sometimes.

There is nothing about a driver in the media prefs. A strange thing is that I just noticed is that the sound card is listet 2 times in "Devices". Under "System Devices" and "PCI Devices".
