Hi folks, I have an original Beige PowerMac G3 (266Mhz). Can anyone tell me if BeOS 5.0 will run on it? I'd llike to know before I dust it off and pull it out of the closet.
Thanks!

BeOS don't run on G3's, except for G3 upgrade cards on oldworld PPC mac's.
Sorry!

Would that be true of any G3 upgrade card? All Newer Technology cards, for instance...
Thanks.

In theory yes, as long as the PPC is supported

Seems this would make a pretty sweet BeOS machine, then:
Mac 7500/G3/300 128/4GB CD Apple 17" MS (BUNDLE)
$199.99
30-day hardware warranty. G3 Processor upgrade by Newer Technology.
