I am going to start a vancouver based canadian BeOS user group. I am designing the web site, and trying to recruit people for it. I hope there are at least a few BeOS users who live in Vancouver or at least Canada. There will be no restrictions other then you have to like BeOS. You don't even have to live in Canada. Is anyone interested????? new_borgsmile.gif

just had to add the robot

Ok cool, I am still working on the layout for the site... I am not the best site designer..... but I will try to stick to the beos window style.

We have donan71 and lethargy from here and gaukler from begroovy.

That is 4 so far... hopefully we will get up to 10... common Canada is a pretty big place!!

If anyone wants to help out with the web site graphics that would be great.

What features do you guys want on the site?

I can lend a hand with the site too. I'm no expert, but I can manage presentable HTML, functional javascript, and, when provoked, a wee bit of lightweight Perl.

I'm not a programmer, but I've been using BeOS since R3.1. By now, I've made most mistakes a time or two and hopefully learned enough from those mistakes to have enough Be knowledge to make a worthwhile contribution, maybe in the form of reviews or simple tutorials. I can also do news updates or whatever else is needed.

If you're interested in the help, you can e-mail me at

Lethargy

BTW, I agree with you that there's got to be more than four BeOS users in all of Canada.

Where are you all?
