I have not so good expirience with Dano on my PC.
It just freezes, I can't get more then half an hour without crash.
Sometimes starts with deskbar or tracker dying, or Mozilla crashes, then it freezes. Sometimes without any reason.
I asume it is app_server crash, right?
So, what can be reason? I'm on dual Celly, everthing is OK in R5.
I know Dano is beta, but I thought it should be more stable.

Some people say that Dano installed on it's own is best. Some say you need to install over a PE/Pro install. If you have tried both then it is just beta. Or you have a bad download?

I have had problems with installing over an existing version of BeOS and on its own. Just recently i replaced my motherboard and had to reinstall BeOS but my cd got corrupt ....) long story short. I reinstalled Dano and it is working fine. I could not get it to work before but is does now. I know this doesn't help with your problems but though i would contribute a little.

No, it's not beta, it's just where someone got the code and made a build. It was not released as a beta like BONE was.

No, you're wrong. After focus shift, Be Inc. gave beta version of BeOS to some of developers of internet apliances, since it was labeled as "development platform for BeIA" or something like that.
Dano install that I found comes with BeIA specs and docs in pdf format.
So, it's not compiled from leaked source, it is build leaked, IMO, by some third party IA developer.
