I love Ximian Evolution for a mail client. Does anyone know how hard it would be to port that to BeOS. I have no idea how hard that would be, just a thought. I use Mail-It myself right now.

Extremely. First, you'd have to port GTK+ (there is a version of it on bebits, but I think it's fairly old) with all its bonobo bits and pieces and Ximian's own add-ons. Then you would try and port Evolution. And it would still only run in an X11 window, with little interaction between it and the BeOS world.
Never liked Evolution myself, actually. Kmail seems like a more clean and straightforward design, especially the message editor.
On BeOS, I have them all installed: mail-it, postmaster, scooby, even i.scribe. But I keep going back to bemail ...

Speaking of GTK....
One app that I would die to have it on BeOS is Gimp.
Becasso is great app, and I use it on BeOS, but Gimp is great paint app, with so many tutorials and scripts all over the web.

Thanks for the info and BTW GIMP would be very nice to have on BeOS or Dano.
