Hi *

I've installed BeOS Max V2.1 on my box then i patched with Bone7a.

Since i wasn't able to boot in it, i've done some reasearch and fond :
http://www.cybersolutions.gr/vasper.net/boneIssues.htm

So i make another small BeFS with BeOS Max.. i started in it and modified my first Kernel with DiskProbe.
I've exactly follow that "How-to" and ..find the 2nd occurence of "GenuineIntel" and changed it to "AuthenticAMD"...

Now when i tried to load my pacthed Athlon/Bone Kernel,my computer is stuck alfter the boot-up image..
I've done that manipulation twice but with the same result.

I need help, i can't connect using my dsl on BeOS icon_sad.gif

You will need to modify the Bone bootfloppy. It uses a different zbeos. If you have two installs, one being R5.new_alien.gif and another bone then you will have to load into the R5.0x first. Then (one way to do it) mount the bone install and modify the makebootfloppy script to change the path's for the bootfloppy files. Actually copy the origianl file to save it first and then modify the new copy.

You will need to modify the Bone bootfloppy. It uses a different zbeos. If you have two installs, one being R5.00-03 and another bone then you will have to load into the R5.0x first. Then (one way to do it) mount the bone install and modify the makebootfloppy script to change the path's for the bootfloppy files. Actually copy the original file to save it first and then modify the new copy.

Oh, I see edit nowwwww!

You will need the bone zbeos and supporting files on the bootfloppy. See the makebootfloppy script to see what is going on when you make a bootfloppy. There is some free room for files but it is sort of a pain to put them in. I am sure someone on beshare might be able to make a gui that adds the files you tell in the format of the bootfloppy but little call for such a thing just yet.
