Well i got BeOS max edition up and running, its great, things are fine, it runs silky smooth on my bp6 dual celeron system except for a couple of things.
first really annoying thing that isnt working is my network connection. at home we have a dsl connection that we share with a wireless router (802.11b) and well i have a linksys wireless network card which isnt detected. is wireless networking supported in BeOS, and if so how and such. i dont mind patching the system with BONE though i dont really know what i would do so any good easy to follow instructions would be appreciated as well i am a newbie to this. since i have no network working i have to boot back up into windows all the time so yeah i would really like to get the network working correctly.
second problem i have is my soundblaster pci 128 soundcard isnt detected or working correctly. i downloaded the patch on my windows partition and mounted it in Be and it extracted it to wherever it defaulted to, but well it still wont give me any sound after restarting. so what else do i need to do to set that up
so yeah any links to places to deal with these issues would be greatly appreciated. i really like this os, its much much better than winxp on my old dual processor system and well if you guys want any more info from me about the computer just ask. thanks in advance

I think wireless network is supported in BeOS, some people are sharing on BeShare a How-To. Was the patch in .pkg, .zip or .tar.gz (.tgz) format. Did it have any installation instructions in the package?

Depends on what you got. Is there some readme's there somewhere?
The only drivers I know of for wireless are in the Bone7a for PCMCIA only. Bone is sort of Dano in that it breaks your net_server. Some computers don't like it. You need to use an install script I think and get ready to have a bootable BeOS CD or another install in case you can't run it in Bone.
The wireless drivers support a wide range of older PCMCIA cards. I know of no pci or isa wireless support. But, if it is one beshare I will find it.
